INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS PARK

Thunderbird's architects have revised the master plan for the Thunderbird International Business Park. This plan is now being reviewed by the Physical Plant Committee of the Board of Trustees and will be submitted to the City of Glendale next week. A copy of the revised master plan is on display in the conference room of the William Vons Hall of Modern Languages. Any comments or suggestions should be forwarded to Lee Stickland, vice president for business affairs.

PRICE SAVERS

Applications for free memberships to Price Savers, opening August 20 at Bell Road and the Black Canyon Freeway, are now available through the Personnel Office. These applica- tions should be filled out and returned to Personnel no later than July 27.

ACTING PRESIDENT

Dr. William Voris is away for the month of July. During this time, Dr. Marshall Geer, vice president for academic affairs, will serve as acting president of the School.

VISITING PROFESSORS

The following visiting professors are teaching in the World Business Department during the summer session: Dr. Leon Zurawicki is teaching two sections of International Marketing Management. He holds a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Warsaw University. Arturo Vasquez Parraga is also teaching two sections of International Marketing Manage- ment. He is currently working on his Ph.D. at Texas Tech University. Dr. Dale Vor Der Landwehr is teaching Funda- mentals of Economics. He has a Ph.D. in economics from Wayne State University. John B, Winters is teaching a section of Introduction to Use of Computer Systems and Software. He has a Masters of Science in space/planetary physics from Brigham Young University.

SUMMER ENROLLMENT

Thunderbird has 771 students from 50 countries enrolled for the summer term. More than JO percent of the students are foreign nationals with the largest representation from Japan, France, Norway, and The Netherlands. Women comprise more than 34.5 percent of the summer enrollment and 90 students are attending summer programs at foreign univer- sities

CAREER SERVICES

Morgan Stanley & Company, Brokerage Operations, will be recruiting in the Career Services Center on July 15.

FIRST TUESDAY

The number of First Tuesday monthly alumni meetings increased by 23 percent during the last year, and by 269 percent during the last five years.

LIBRARY

Elizabeth Cass has accepted the position of full-time cataloging assistant in the Library.

THUNDERBIRD INTERNSHIPS

Sixteen students hold full-time summer internships with companies ranging from Coca-Cola to Knight-Ridder. Eight Thunderbird students currently hold part-time internships with both the Arizona and U.S. Department of Commerce, and Sigma Real Estate Company.
